Dear Stakeholder

Variation to admissions policy for Becket Keys C of E School– September 2021

We write to confirm that the Regional Schools Commissioner (RSC), acting on behalf of the Secretary of State, has agreed that due to the closure of churches during the Covid-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to modify our faith-based admission criteria.

The documents include the following amendment in relation to church attendance:

“In the event that during the period specified for attendance at worship the church has been closed for public worship and has not provided alternative premises for that worship, the requirements of these admissions arrangements in relation to attendance will only apply to the period when the church or alternative premises have been available for public worship”.

Yours faithfully

A.P. Scott-Evans

If you do not gain a place at Becket Keys and you wish to appeal the decision then please contact to request a form which needs to be completed and returned to the school with your evidence by noon on Monday 29th March 2021.

Appeals will be heard by an Independent Panel on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th May 2021.
