Enrichment of the curriculum in and beyond the classroom is an extremely important part of our provision.

In school

Each subject area organises additional activities to enhance the learning of students that take place in school. There is a planned programme of visits to the school by artists, authors and other specialists, to inspire and inform our students.

Subject departments also organise learning activities both during and after the school day that take place off-site. For example there are environmental activities, theatre trips, concerts, museums, visits to business and industry, local history and geography field work.

All staff offer clubs and activities linked to their personal interests as well as their subject areas. Some clubs are overseen by staff but are led by students who have particular expertise and interests.
As part of the local family of schools we expect to develop direct links with other local secondary and primary schools for joint extra-curricular provision, to continue the active involvement that children have experienced throughout their time in primary school
